Clinical and experimental Research
Advancements in the diagnosis and therapy of malignant diseases rely essentially on the results of clinical and experimental research.
You are here:
While our clinical research concentrate on lymphoma, chronic and acute leukaemia, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer and other gastrointestinal tumours, experimental research groups in our department focus above all on lymphoma, leukaemia, cellular necrosis and cell cycle regulation.
Our hospital participates in numerous national and international clinical studies. Some of these studies were initiated and/or managed by our hospital. The staff of our study centre ensures the coordination of the studies at our hospital concerning content and organisation including documentation.
The practice-oriented experimental basic research of the department is an essential driving force behind the advancements in diagnosing and treating malignant diseases.
Clinical and experimental research groups are active at our centre on the campus Virchow-Klinikum and the campus Berlin-Buch and closely cooperate with the Max Delbrück Centre of Molecular Medicine MDC.
